Description
Life Orientation Level 3 and 4 material teaches learners skills for dealing with lifes many
challenges. The Level 3 and 4 material enables learners to develop skills, such as decision
making, tolerance and an insight and understanding of others from different communities.
It is hoped that learners will achieve personal development as a result of these skills.
Confidence required for life-long learning is developed. The information can be used in all
the other Learning Areas, and in any career of choice. Life Orientation Level 3 and 4 material
incorporates all the skills, knowledge and understanding each human-being has to posses in
order to co-exist peacefully with other human beings. It successfully helps the learner to take
his or her place in the world and to play a meaningful role in his or her community.
The material consists of a Facilitators Guide and two Learners Workbooks. The material
complies with all the National requirements. Level 4 covers 32 credits and can form part of
the GETC qualification.
