An awareness of the need for self-assessment is a vital component in the process of becoming good at learning, and is an aspect that is actively strengthened, encouraged and emphasised in this material.

Learners who participate in an A(B)ET programme not only acquire language skills, but also gain confidence as roleplayers and contributors to shaping society. English Level 1 to 4 sets out to develop this awareness by making use of practical exercises and learner-friendly explanations.

To this end, English Level 1 to 4 material has employed and developed the National A(B)ET Standards required by SAQA for communication. The series is available for A(B)ET Levels 1 to 4. The English Level 4 series is aligned with SAQA Unit Standards and has acquired 23 credits.

The material consists of a Facilitator’s Guide and two Learner’s Workbooks. The material complies with all the National requirements. Level 4 covers 23 credits and can form part of the GETC qualification.
